Transformative Leadership in the Arts, Philanthropy & Education

Jenny Gibbs has more than two decades of demonstrated success as a creative, collaborative, pragmatic, and entrepreneurial leader in the arts, education, and philanthropy. She currently serves as the Executive Director of the IFPDA Foundation, where she has expanded its grantmaking programs, more than doubling the size and number of awards to museums and other nonprofits, including grants in 2024/5 to The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Tate Liverpool, Musée d'Art et d'Histoire (Zurich), the British Museum, RISD Museum, MoMA, and others.

Under her leadership, the IFPDA, an international organization of galleries and publishers (Pace Prints, Hauser & Wirth, David Zwirner, Two Palms, etc. ) has increased its outreach and influence. The IFPDA Print Fair at the Park Avenue Armory is the largest fundraiser for the IFPDA Foundation, attracting more than 20,000 visitors in 2025.

At the IFPDA fair, Jenny has developed and overseen major commissions by Swoon (2019), Derrick Adams (2022), Mickalene Thomas (2025), and Jeffrey Gibson (forthcoming, 2026) and programs with Jeff Koons, Ed Ruscha, Jim Dine, Vija Celmins, David Salle, Terry Winters, Marilyn Minter, Rashid Johnson, Kiki Smith, and many more.

Her expertise spans fundraising, board development, and innovative program creation, drawing from her experiences as a museum and academic leader. Jenny has served as a Director of Sotheby’s Institute of Art, Dean of Graduate Programs at Massachusetts College of Art & Design, Executive Director of the Lacoste School of the Arts / Bard College, and Executive Director of Elmhurst Art Museum, where she led the institution through a period of remarkable growth, increasing membership, attendance, and major gifts.

At Elmhurst Art Museum, Jenny originated the vision to restore the cornerstone of the collection, Mies van der Rohe’s McCormick House (1952), developing the historic preservation plan, launching the capital campaign, securing major private gifts and grants from the NEA and IMLS, engaging MoMA design curator, Barry Bergdoll, to develop multi-year programming.

With a background that includes positions at Christie’s and The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Jenny brings a deep commitment to fostering diversity, supporting the arts, and mentoring the next generation of artists, curators, and gallerists.
